Swallowship Woods
Dukes House or 'the house of a thousand chimneys' is one of the largest country homes
in Hexham. The original house is surrounded by a huge garden which is joined directly
into miles of wood land. Perfect for running, long walks and deeper
into the woods... mountain biking.
Maintained pathways lead down from the house towards Devils Water which is a constant refreshing temperature all the year round.
The
area once had a black cat spotting, but so far, only the one, there are
(for sure) family's of deer, badgers, fox's and many more.
A perfect (dog friendly) family walking area.
